My passion for aircraft clocks: combining aviation, history and mechanics

My passion combines my love for aviation, history, watches and mechanics: collecting aircraft clocks, the instruments that accompanied the pilot on the instrument panel.

In search of lost time:

When I embarked on this journey, I found scattered information on the internet. I decided then to create a space where I could gather everything I have learned about these fascinating objects:

  • Restoration: I search for clocks, restore them to their original precision. A meticulous process that requires disassembly, cleaning and sometimes custom-made parts.

  • Research: I look for photos of the cockpit where the clock was installed, data on the aircraft and the pilot, stories of battles and experiences.

  • Testimonies of history: Each watch is unique, with its marks and scars that tell stories of corrosion from the sea, deformation from heat or shocks that transport us to another time.

More than an object, a journey through time:

More than pieces of machinery, these watches are witnesses to history. When I place them on my shelf, with their corresponding airplane photo, I feel like I can see the pilots who used them, the battles they fought and the times they lived in.

A legacy that transcends time:

Each watch is unique, and although I sometimes part with some to continue expanding the collection, I feel a deep satisfaction knowing that these objects will continue to tell stories long after I am gone.
