THE COCKPITThe instruments and controls were well located, except the switch to fold the wings that were difficult to act and once landed if you did not give with him,it could cause room problems in the cover of the aircraft carrier. The cabin was too roomy, and although the visibility was good the pilot sank until the neck in the cabin, it limited the visibility by the sides and backwards, this caused some pilots don´t feel like part of the airplane, the large-diameter centrifugal flow engine is the responsible of the wide diameter. To assure the air inlet to the engine in the takeoff there were two spring-loaded auxiliary intake doors and the like positioned, somewhat surprisingly, on the spine of the aircraft's midsection. |
